While speaking to NBC’s Kristen Welker, Giuliani insisted that the president wanted him to do more interviews even though his recent media blitz has been criticized for damaging his client’s case.
“The president is encouraging me to do more [interviews],” Giuliani insisted. “I try to keep them under control. I just did one on Sunday even though we had about four requests. You know, the president feels that the TV interviews have organized his supporters and those who understand the way in which he’s being treated — badly treated — in this situation from the very beginning.”
Despite the foot-in-mouth moments, he could take even more interviews, and Welker says “he’s not showing any signs of slowing down in that regard.”
