MSNBC host Joe Scarborough doesn’t think President Donald Trump “has the attention span” to collude with Russia.“Will the president not end up being ensnarled in this? I think that’s likely,” Scarborough opined on Monday morning.
“I think they’ll get a lot of people around him,” Scarborough continued, explaining that someone “very close” to the president once asked him if he thought the investigation would prove Trump colluded with Russia, to which the MSNBC host replied: “I don’t think he has the attention span to conduct a full-blown conspiracy.”
“The man can’t collude with a ham sandwich right now,” Scarborough said.
“But he could collude by mistake,” co-host Mika Brzezinski contended.
“His attention span does not allow him to do that,” Scarborough replied.
Washington Post associate editor Eugene Robinson argued that Trump could very well stumble into illicit collusion “if he sees this shiny object, this advantage, that he could lunge at.”
